    Hello all!

    I’m Taylor. I’ve previously been either really active on the forums or gone for long stretches of time.

    For the past year or so, I’ve been working in a jam kitchen that daily saps my will to live (and have been working with a very toxic editing client I should have broken ties with a long time ago, and which I’ve finally done), so I’ve not written much of anything for a while.

    I’m a very wide reader and write mostly anime-ish scifi and fantasy stories. I’ve self-published a few novellas and have a few nearly finished manuscripts I feel unlikely to ever finish.

    Partially for that reason, I decided to join the upcoming SE writing summit! I’m looking forward to participating and hope to see some of you there :-}

    Welcome @taylorclogston!

    I can relate a littlle bit  to this toxic client you’ve been freed.

    How about a non fictional text about this?  Or a short story ? Laying such an experience on paper may be a good start.

    Hey Taylor! Good to see you back; I’ve been absent for a long time too lol. I’m sorry to hear about that awful client, but I’m glad you got out of that situation. How’s your week?

    @imwritehere1920 Nice to see you again! And you also, @candide. Sorry for not responding to your response. I stopped in, made an “I’m back” post, and then just forgot to check the forum again for a while =P

    My week’s been pretty stressful as I’m preparing for Good Friday and Easter stuff for my church’s audio/video team while also writing training material for the job I’m leaving and also doing all the onboarding training and paperwork for the job I’m starting next week, but I’m hoping that all calms down soon! How has your week been?

    @candide
    I think you’re right that writing about my experiences is probably valuable. I’ve definitely found journaling about it helpful in working through it. I’m sure the experience will come through in some story I write someday! I’m sorry that you can relate, lol. Hopefully we can both avoid professional headaches of that kind in the future.

    Hi, I’m new. You commented on a few of my threads. Anyway, welcome back. Sounds rough (that’s partially why I’m avoiding a publisher. I’ve heard a lot more rough stories than Good stories as far as interacting with publishers/editors). Hope you find someone better. What are some of your hobbies (if you have any. Adult life is busy!)?

    Lol, no worries! Yikes, that’s crazy! What’s the new job you’re starting, if I may ask?

    I’ve been doing well, thanks! I’ve been keeping busy helping with my friends’ book releases over the past year, etc. I hope things calm down for you over there and you’re able to enjoy the holidays with your family 🙂 If you have any prayer requests, feel free to send them my way.

    Oh, it’s Ok, @taylorclogston! I’m not so frequent here as I used to be, since I’m writing more non-fiction  that short stories . It’s been funnier to write about daily experiences than ficcional ones.

    And Amem! God bless us with a good boss/client!
