Hey Jessie, I’m Noah, glad to have you on SE! If you’re seeking solid advice or encouragement, this is a good place to get it. 🙂

I have been so bogged down lately by the state of the secular publishing industry… it’s a dark place, friends. Like the rest of the world, no one knows up from down anymore.

I know exactly what you mean. The more I look into it, the more its ungliness shows. Looking at the news in any arena is hard nowadays.

Anyway, I’m Jessie. I live in the midwest and I’m coming back to novel writing after a long hiatus. I have a terrible, life-long track record of not finishing things. That is my biggest goal for joining a like-minded writing community: just get through a first draft and complete the major edits.

Well Jessie, I think we can all empathize. I’ve finished a thing or two, but each time I go back to edit, I’m like, what in the trash-riddendfas world did I just write? xD However, the first step is indeed finishing the first draft. Is there anything particuarly you’d like advice on?

Oh, and I live in Missouri, which I believe is the midwest unless they’ve change it…🙃

I’d love to talk about my strengths and weaknesses as a writer, but honestly that all seems like posing when I have to successfully complete any manuscript.

Nope, not posing, its time to spill the beans and release all those internal struggles. 🙂 What would you say your strenghts are in writing? What about your weaknesses? What’s holding you back from finishing that WIP? Do I sould like a therapist? xD (I sincerely hope not) If you voice a few of them, I might be able to scrounge up a few tips from my meager knowledge of storycraft.

Anyways, what’s your current WIP about? Do you have a favorite genre or author?”
