BLM is insidious and does more to exploit the “populations” it purports to help than any of the worst “KKK” groups.
Racism is wrong no matter who does it. God chose the races that came about, and anyone having a problem with that has an issue first with their Maker.
We humankind are all made in God’s image as a threnody shadow of Him. Not as a perfect duplicate, but as an image that shares the similar 3 parts as one.
It is God only that perfectly balances the value of the whole and the value of the individual without diminishing either. He also is the only one who perfectly balances Justice and Mercy without compromise. Mankind was intended to live in community with God Himself which is what was before the Garden Fall. The fact that mankind still has yearnings for these “good things” is evidence of their need to reconnect with the Source of All Goodness.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. [James 1:17 KJV]
Mankind’s “human constructs” to approximate earthside good values are always imperfect because they are administered by flawed and self-centered human beings. I am reminded of the words of George Washington when he, as our first president said:
“It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the Providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor.”
When the leadership of institutions charged to defend a society’s values ceases to recognize God, the values that sustain a society erode for lack of true direction. Leaders must retain the conviction that God holds all to the account of how their treat their fellowmen. Jesus essentially states these charges as the summary of all commandments in these two:
29 Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The LORD our God is the one and only LORD. 30 And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ 31 The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” [Mark 12:29-31 NLT]
